Enamel on silver

I had a great day yesterday teaching an introduction to enamel on silver. Ian had done quite a bit of reading and had an idea of what he’d like to do. We covered quite a lot in the day including preparing, testing and applying the colours; making shapes with fine silver wire then applying and firing the enamels. Finally the pieces were stoned back and refired. Ian was very happy with what he achieved and hopefully he has begun a new adventure.

I teach this on a regular basis – just use the contact form if you’re interested.

There is still a place available on the two day course with Tom Lundsten to learn etching silver and enamelling. This is on 16th and 17th February in my studio in Hunmanby, near Filey, North Yorkshire. It is £300 for the two days, including some materials. Contact me if you’d like to book a place
