Enamelled bowls

Tom and I have been working on some new bowls over the last few days. It’s always interesting to work together on these. At one stage I really liked this first bowl but Tom thought it should have more colour. Three firings later with the addition of red, orange and yellows and neither of us liked it.! Anyway a layer of transparent flux T232 was added and it was fired again, at a much higher temperature and for longer. After that it became much more subtle and very pleasing to both of us.

It’s great having someone to collaborate with and I’m certainly more productive sharing ideas
